I have known Greg Jorgensen for many years and I can’t say enough good things about him. Few have the ability to recognize what is going on in the world or the will to change to meet the challenge but Greg is a model we should all emulate! I wanted to make sure you all saw Dr. Jorgensen’s awesome editorial in the most recent AJO-DO and seriously consider his brilliant proposal for fixing the ABO and uniting the orthodontic speciality. I hear constantly from orthodontist that “someone should do something”. Well, here’s your chance! Greg has laid out a very logical roadmap to get us from where we are to where we need to be.

  1. Great ideas as usual Greg, thanks for getting this important message out there in an open forum! This kind of change is long overdue and I hope the message resonates within the ABO and AAO. I agree it won’t happen overnight, but it may happen sooner than you think–if our leadership really understands the current mess we are in.

  2. Similar to what we have up here in Canada. Graduates of accredited programs all must pass an exam to become certified. Nice work Greg!

  3. Wonderful proposal and one I hope gains traction. The more we can differentiate ourselves to the public the better protected we will be as a profession moving forward.
    Thanks Greg!

  4. Clear and logical and would expect to be effective! Thanks Greg! Exceptional thinking and willingness to step out!

  5. Great proposal and a constructive step to differentiate our specialty. We need our AAO to be more aggressive in protecting our profession. We are at a critical time of change in our industry and this would be one helpful step forward.
