We talked about honor the other day but I wanted to follow up with a short discussion of the biggest benefit of being honorable. I don’t know who said it or where I heard it but the saying, “An honest man has nothing to fear” has been my mantra for well over a decade now. Whenever things get dicey or I am afraid of how events will unfold I simply remind myself that an honest man has nothing to fear and I’m able to silence that inner voice that pops up in times of crisis. Does this mean that bad things won’t happen to honest people? That honest people don’t make mistakes? Not at all.  It simply means that knowing I have nothing to hide makes it far easier for me to turn and face my fears instead of hiding from them. It’s still scary but it’s better to face my fears and get resolution!
