Growing up in South Carolina Ben never planned to follow his father’s footsteps into orthodontics but fate, economic realities and opportunity brought him back from living in New Zealand to attend UT Memphis for dental school and orthodontic residency. Ben practiced in Arkansas for 13 years, sold Arkansas Dentistry in Braces in 2017 and now lives in Windermere, Florida with his wife Bridget and their two children. Ben maintains a small practice in Orlando and enjoys helping orthodontists achieve a mindset that is congruent with the new reality. Ben created Smile for a Lifetime Foundation, The Progressive Orthodontist Magazine, The ProOrtho FE Study Group and OrthoPundit.com. Ben co-wrote Straighter: The Rules of Orthodontics with Dr. Marc Ackerman and they are currently working on a second book that will be released in 2019.
