It’s been interesting to watch organized dentistry groups rail against direct to consumer, doctor directed aligner treatment. Instead of embracing and incorporating new technology, most dentists are attempting to put the genie back in the bottle by any means necessary. Today SmileDirectClub seeks to hold the MDA accountable for what they said and did in Federal Court. I’m interested to see how this plays out and suspect this will not be the last dental organization taken to task for their actions. Here’s a link to the complaint:
